Derbyshire’s Auto Repair & Sales Inc. had its beginnings in 1995 when its founders, Robert and Sherry Derbyshire, embarked on their journey in the automotive industry. It all started with Robert operating out of a cub van, providing convenient mobile repair services that came to your home or place of business. Their motto was simple but effective: “Why pay for the tow? Fix it on the go.”

During inclement weather, Robert worked from his home garage, while Sherry managed a small office in their home to keep operations running smoothly. They persevered in this mobile repair venture for five years, steadily building a reputation for reliability and quality service.

In 2000, a significant milestone was reached when they purchased an old building and transformed it into a three-bay garage. To assist with the workload, they hired one licensed mechanic who worked closely with them. The commitment to providing exceptional automotive care remained unwavering.

Fast forward to the present, and Robert and Sherry Derbyshire are still in the same location, working side by side. In 2009, they took a bold step by incorporating their business, renaming it Derbyshire’s Auto Repair & Sales Inc. Over the years, their business has continued to grow and evolve. They now operate from a four-bay shop, offering expanded services, and have added a small car lot to their business portfolio.

One of the most heartening aspects of their journey is that they have kept their family closely involved. They now employ three licensed mechanics, including their son, Nicholas, who is dedicated to carrying forward their dream to the next generation. The Derbyshire’s remain committed to providing top-quality automotive services and maintaining the same passion and dedication that have been the hallmarks of their business since its inception.
